About The Kentucky Network for Collegiate Substance Abuse Prevention

Welcome
Welcome to the home of Kentucky Network for Collegiate Substance Abuse Prevention coalition. The purpose of this site is to offer a clearinghouse for information, resources, and activities about alcohol and other drug issues for higher education in Kentucky.

Who We Are
We are a coalition of professionals that address alcohol and other drug issues on Kentucky campuses including health educators, student development, counselors, campus security, faculty, housing staff, community agency professionals, and state agency professionals. Our campuses include small private institutions, technical schools, community colleges, and the large state universities.

What Does the Kentucky Network Do?
The Kentucky Network is a consortium for collaborative alcohol and other drug prevention efforts among colleges and universities across the state. The Kentucky Network provides this support though grant opportunities and technical assistance, as well as, training opportunities throughout the year. The Kentucky Network also provides members with access to a lending library, technical assistance, support and an active listserv. Each campus that is a member of the Kentucky Network has a campus contact who, as representative of that campus, helps determine activities of the Kentucky Network coalition.

Our Goal
Our primary goal is to reduce the use and abuse of alcohol and other drugs on Kentucky campuses; thus, reducing the overall harmful effect these drugs have upon our state.
